You don’t have to diagnose the problem. Choose the closest match and take a more informed next step.
The visible patch may only be the end of the journey.
Water can travel along pipes, joists and floor layers. An investigation considers nearby plumbing, when the patch changes and how moisture is spreading.
Explore hidden leak detectionRepeated topping up is a clue worth investigating.
Pressure loss can come from a pipe leak, a visible fitting or a boiler component. Establishing which part of the system is responsible helps avoid unnecessary access.
Explore heating leak detectionStart with the pattern, then narrow the search.
Unexpected usage may involve an appliance, a WC or hidden supply pipework. Meter observations and isolation checks can help separate the possibilities.
Read the water-meter guideFind out what is feeding that persistent wet area.
A buried supply pipe is one possibility. Rainwater, drains and ground conditions can also leave wet areas, so the cause needs to be established before excavation.

Does the package include fixing the leak?
The agreed residential package includes plumbing repair, parts, materials and testing, as well as specialist detection and necessary access. Decorative and remedial reinstatement are excluded.
Can you find leaks below floors?
Depending on the pipework and site conditions, pressure testing, acoustic listening, tracer gas and thermal imaging may help narrow a concealed leak. The appropriate combination is chosen for the property.
