Here is what happens between noticing the first sign of a leak and understanding the completed repair.
Before the visit: agree the plan
Tell us what you have noticed, provide the full postcode and explain any previous tests or repairs. We establish whether the residential package is suitable or a commercial quotation is needed. Scope, access permissions, appointment availability and booking terms must be confirmed before the £100 deposit is paid.
At the property: build the evidence
The investigation starts with the symptoms and accessible plumbing. Suitable checks help distinguish water-supply, heating and use-related sources. Detection methods are chosen around the actual system, construction and conditions, with results interpreted together.
Before opening: explain the access
Once the evidence supports an area, necessary access or excavation is planned. The surface finish, other services and authority to approve opening all matter. Detection aims to avoid unnecessary disruption, but cannot promise that no opening will be required.
After access: repair and test
The agreed plumbing repair includes parts and materials. Appropriate testing follows the completed work. Findings and relevant work are recorded in the Trace & Access report, helping explain the result to the owner or other involved parties.
After the job: plan the room’s recovery
The plumbing work and the room’s final restoration are separate. Drying and decorative or remedial reinstatement are excluded. Keep the report and scope, and confirm the process for raising a concern under the 12-month workmanship warranty.
